Restaurants, hotels, and venues

Hospitality IT Services

A down POS during Saturday dinner is not a ticket. It is empty tables. Secure Techies keeps Southern California restaurants, hotels, and venues online, with guest Wi-Fi that stays off the payment network.

Why this industry is different

Service does not pause for a ticket

Guest Wi-Fi, POS, reservations, and cameras all have to stay up while the floor is full. Shared logins and one flat network are how those systems fail together.

  1. 01

    POS downtime is lost covers

If the terminal will not authorize, the line stops. Help desk speed during service is a revenue issue.

  2. 02

Guest Wi-Fi is not the payment network

A single flat LAN is how a guest laptop sits next to the card terminal. Segmentation is the plan, not an extra.

  3. 03

    Staff turn over every season

Shared “manager” passwords and leftover logins are how payroll and reservations get opened from a phone that already left.

What is in the plan

Everything we do for hospitality

The floor, the back office, and the lot — grouped the way a GM actually runs a site.

Service and POS

  • Help desk during service
A down terminal at 7 p.m. jumps the queue. We treat covers as severity.
  • POS environment
Network, printers, and identity around Toast, Square, Oracle, or similar. Application support stays with the POS vendor.
  • Reservations and back office
Microsoft 365, payroll, and the laptop in the office that still has last season’s manager logged in.

Networks and payments

  • Guest vs staff vs payments
Three paths. Guest Wi-Fi does not sit on the same VLAN as the card terminal.
  • PCI-minded segmentation
We do not “certify PCI.” We keep the environment a QSA can actually inspect.
  • Email and identity
MFA, no shared GM password as the long-term plan, same-day revoke when a manager leaves.

Sites and lots

  • Multi-location standards
Three restaurants should not mean three leftover consumer routers.
  • Cameras on the lot and dock
Mobile CCTV when the parking lot or loading area is the risk.
  • On-site SoCal
Hardware from Canoga Park across Los Angeles and nearby counties.

If the terminal will not authorize, the line is not a line. It is a refund.

How the work is packaged

IT we run for restaurants and hotels

Uptime during service, a guest network that stays guest, and cameras when the lot is the risk.

All services

Systems we keep the environment ready for

We do not replace your POS or reservations vendor. We keep identity, devices, and networks healthy so those tools stay up.

  • POS (Toast, Square, Oracle, and similar)
  • Microsoft 365
  • Guest / staff / payment networks
  • MFA and email security
  • Reservations and payroll (environment)
  • Optional lot CCTV

Managed IT for restaurants, hotels, and venues

Secure Techies provides hospitality IT services for Southern California restaurants, hotels, and venues that cannot lose a Saturday night to a frozen terminal. From Canoga Park we run managed help desk, network security, and cybersecurity around POS, guest Wi-Fi, and the back office.

A hospitality site is two networks pretending to be one: guests on phones, and a payment terminal that has to stay isolated. Shared manager passwords and a consumer router in the office are how those worlds collide.

Who we work with

Independent restaurants, small hotel and boutique groups, and venues in Los Angeles, the Valley, and nearby counties. Typical size is one to a handful of locations — enough complexity that informal IT is already failing. Warehouses and distribution sites are a better fit for warehousing and logistics IT.

What is included

A standard engagement covers:

  • Help desk during service hours
  • POS environment — network, printers, identity. Application support stays with Toast, Square, Oracle, or whoever you run
  • Guest, staff, and payment networks on separate paths
  • Microsoft 365 for the back office, payroll, and reservations
  • Cybersecurity: MFA, email filtering, endpoint protection, same-day revoke when a manager leaves
  • Backup and disaster recovery for mail and files that hold schedules and vendor records
  • Optional mobile CCTV on lots and docks
  • On-site from Canoga Park

Projects — a new location, a POS cutover, a network rebuild — are quoted separately so the monthly plan stays predictable.

Payments and guest Wi-Fi

We do not “certify PCI.” We keep guest traffic off the payment path and write down enough that a QSA can inspect the environment. That is the useful half of PCI for a restaurant group: segmentation, access control, and evidence — not a binder nobody opens.

Coverage and cost

Headquarters is in Canoga Park. On-site across Los Angeles County and Southern California. Remote for groups with sites outside the region.

Pricing depends on locations, terminals, and whether cameras are in scope. We quote after a free assessment.

How an engagement starts

How we start with a restaurant or hotel

We schedule around service. The first week is about terminals staying up, not a rebrand.

  1. 01

Walk the floor and the closet

POS, guest Wi-Fi, who has the manager login, and whether payments share a network with guests.

  2. 02

    Separate the paths

Guest, staff, and payments. MFA. Leftover accounts gone.

  3. 03

    Support through service

A number the GM will actually call at 7 p.m.

  4. 04

    Review the sites

What broke, what to buy, what can wait. Multi-location operators get one standard.

Why this team

Why hospitality operators use a local MSP

We already run professional-services IT on nights and weekends. Hospitality adds POS, guest Wi-Fi, and a floor that cannot wait.

  • Service hours first

Disruptive work sits outside the rush unless the outage already is the disruption.

  • Honest about PCI

We segment and document. A QSA still signs the attestation.

  • One team for IT and the lot

Help desk and optional mobile CCTV in the same relationship.

  • Local when hardware fails

Canoga Park team across Los Angeles when a switch or terminal will not wait until Monday.

Hospitality IT questions

Do you support Toast, Square, or Oracle POS?
We support the network, identity, printers, and devices those systems sit on, and we coordinate with the POS vendor when the issue is inside the application. We do not replace Toast or Square support.
Can you separate guest Wi-Fi from the payment network?
Yes. That is week-one work in most restaurants and hotels. Guest, staff, and payments get separate paths.
Do you help with PCI DSS?
We implement segmentation, access control, and evidence a QSA can use. We do not “certify PCI.” Formal attestation stays with your assessor. See compliance services.
How fast can you respond during dinner service?
Service-stopping POS or network issues jump the queue. Call (818) 431-5607.
Do you work with hotel groups and multi-unit restaurants?
Yes. The pattern is the same: one standard across sites, local on-site when hardware fails.
Can you put cameras on a parking lot or loading dock?
Yes. Mobile CCTV trailers cover lots and temporary venues without a long cabling project.
How much does hospitality IT support cost?
It depends on locations, terminals, and how much security and camera work is in scope. We quote after a free assessment. Planning ranges are on the FAQ.
Where do you provide hospitality IT support?
On-site across Southern California from Canoga Park. Remote for multi-city groups.
